Fact Filled Monday

I’m feeling a little whimsical today, so I am breaking from my norm and going with it!   Here is my first ever “Fact Filled Monday!”

Fact:

School vacation weeks are awesome. Not only am I on vacation, my husband’s work schedule changes on vacation weeks, since he is a custodian and normally works nights.  This whole week we will be able to have dinner together as a family!  We savor and soak up as many of these moments as we can, so they can help us hold on during our normal schedule of barely seeing each other at all except on the weekends.

Fact:

My shoulder has been in pain since Saturday afternoon. Right before I started preparing and practicing the music for worship on Sunday.  Usually the pain goes away on Sunday afternoon, but it still hurts today.

Fact:

I have a post brewing in my head about how changing guitars strings can relate to our spiritual life.

Fact:

I just this second realized that I *might* have time to read some of the many, many books that have been accumulating in my kindle app this week!  Exciting!

Fact:

We watch Tangled at least once a day in our house.  (Unless Stephen has lost screentime for being disrespectful and/or disobedient.)  It started out with me begging Stephen to watch it with me and now he is the one that asks for it.  All. the. time.  (I don’t mind! )  We all get the songs stuck in our head — most of the time!!   “When will my LIFE begin . . .”  ”And then I brush and brush and brush and brush my hair . . .”  ”Motherrrrrrr knows best . . .”  ”Now I’ve seen the light . . .”  (See what I mean??)

Fact:

My husband is awesome.   Seriously.  Tears of joy and gratitude were cried this week.

Fact:

We paid off one of our cars this week!!  It is an awesome feeling!!

Fact:

The awesome husband just made me a delicious breakfast sandwich using a wheat bagel thin, and turkey bacon.  It was so yummy.  :)  Have I mentioned that I love vacation weeks (and the three day weekends for my husband that come with them??)

Fact:

I am looking for a tweetdeck or hootsuite WIDGET for my android. Anyone know of any?  I am guess it’s just not a reality, and that I will just have to stick it out with the plain old apps.  But I really want a widget.  *sigh*  #overlydramatic

Fact:

My first day of vacation and both boys were up before 4AM.  Yes.  It is not fair.  Because this Mommy didn’t exactly go to bed preparing for a 4AM wake-up call.   But — it’s a lazy wonderful day.  Filled with “vocabularical trangressions” and other fun sayings from What’s in the Bible with Buck Denver.

Fact:

Life is wonderful.  <3

  2. My daughter gets annoyed that I’M the one walking around singing “I’ve seen the light”. P.S. My 8-year-old’s favorite part is the mime at the end who sticks his butt out and puts his finger to his lips when they {spoiler} free Flynn. He can imitate that move like no other! So proud…NOT!

Congrats on the car payoff. That’s a great feeling! Josh used to work until 9 or 10 pm in 3+ nights a week. We were always thankful for the days when the radio show was recorded so he could work an earlier shift.

Laziness. That’s the difference. Hahaha! A widget you don’t have to open up every time you use it. It’s just there. See? Lazy. I love the hootsuite app, though.

And yes- this was definitely fun. :)

I CANNOT BELIEVE that you and your girls have NOT seen tangled yet! Although their are some scary-ish bits, so if they are sensitive, it might be a good idea for you and the hubs to watch it first. My husband loves it too!!!
